What it is
An iPhone app for payment requests between people in the Czech Republic. You send a request over Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi; the other person approves it in their own banking app, and the money moves directly between the two banks over SEPA Instant.
SophaxPay never holds the money — and the other person doesn’t even need to install it.
How it works
- Bob wants 500 CZK from Alice for pizza. He opens SophaxPay, taps Request, picks Alice and types 500.
- The app encrypts the request so that only Alice can read it.
- It travels to Alice’s phone over Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi — no server in between.
- Alice sees “Bob asks for 500 CZK” and taps Accept.
- Her own bank app opens with the payment filled in. She confirms with Face ID, and it’s done.
No middleman. No escrow. No card registration.

A SwiftUI app with a small core library that depends on nothing but Apple’s CryptoKit, and a Python backend. Each person’s identity is an Ed25519 key kept in the Keychain; requests are encrypted with AES‑GCM and a one-time key exchange.
It checks IBANs and knows how to open eight Czech banking apps: KB, George, ČSOB, Air Bank, Raiffeisenbank, Fio, MONETA and mBank.
